The new Charité Foyer on Invalidenstrasse presents a unique opportunity to establish Charité as a prominent innovation hub on a high-traffic east-west axis in Berlin, between the main train station and the city center. The proposed building will serve as the gateway to the southern campus and will project a forward-looking image as a center for administration, research, and development. A clearly defined architectural element is the entrance alley, which is further enhanced by the accompanying open exhibition foyer. This will create a prominent showcase for research and teaching, as well as for Charité Berlin's unique research collaborations.
